Melanie Davies Persia studied flame working at
Sheridan College, working with the noted Canadian
artist, Amy Johnson.
Since then, Melanie has built her own studio in Vineland where she is able to work with flame and glass to develop her original works of jewelry.
Melanie has a strong sense of whimsy in her work and loves to create the unusual. Inspired by the liquid nature of molten glass, she likes to create vibrant and unusual designs. Despite the small scale of the glass media, Melanie is able to create various shapes and textures while liberating the colour of the glass materials.
